DESCRIPTION

This is a phase 2 study that examines the performance of a targeted cancer drug known as Xovoltib 20mg .
Xovoltib 20mg  Tablets  prohibit EGFR protein, which accepts to be included in the growth management of chordoma tumors.
This study is planned especially for chordoma patients 18 years of age or older, with recurrent or metastatic tumors.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

The Afatinib mechanism by preventing the activity of a group of proteins known as epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFRs). The epidermal growth factor receptor is a protein that is included in the growth and spread of cancer cells; Afatinib works by inhibiting the action of this protein.
Afatinib should not be taken by people who have EGFR-negative tumors.

DOSAGE MANAGEMENT

For adults: 40 mg given once daily is the prescribed dose for adult patients with metastatic small cell lung cancer. The age of 0-17 years is not prescribed in children.
Avoid using Xovoltib 20 mg tablets under 18 years of age
The prescribed dose for renal failure is given 30 mg once daily
Administration:
The medicine Xovoltib 20 mg on an empty stomach.
Take Xovoltib 20 mg tablets one hour before or 2 hours after a meal
Avoid cutting or crushing the tablet
Overdose: Overdose is related to patients who have been given 360 mg of Xovoltib 20mg, which causes nausea, vomiting, asthenia, abdominal pain and, consequently, has offered supportive measures for recovery.

PRECAUTIONS

Severe dehydration may occur with the use of  Xovoltib 20mg  Tablets  . This can lead to severe or persistent diarrhea, vomiting or reduced fluid intake. Dehydration can lead to kidney failure, if severe enough. During treatment with this medicine, you may be encouraged to drink additional water.
During treatment with Xovoltib, 20 mg will result in hepatotoxicity; monitor with regular liver testing; Withholding or stopping treatment for severe or worsening liver tests
The drug can lead to interstitial lung disease (ILD)
When given to pregnant women,  Xovoltib 20mg  Tablets  will have fetal wounds (embryo-fetal toxicity)
Discontinue if patients confirm with suspected keratitis or ulcerative keratitis
With Xovoltib 20mg increased sunburn / phototoxicity; it can aggravate the rash or acne; Patients use caution to limit sun exposure and if sun protection and protective clothing.

SIDE EFFECTS

Common side effects caused:

The dosage taken
